Golfoga

Real Mechanics, No Fluff.

Golfoga was built out of frustration with the golf fitness industry. You don't need to "find your flow" or learn Sanskrit to hit a golf ball further. You need targeted biomechanical adaptation.

The Problem with Traditional Yoga for Golf

Traditional yoga is a beautiful practice for general wellness, parasympathetic nervous system down-regulation, and spiritual health. However, it is not optimized for the ballistic, asymmetric demands of the golf swing.

Passive vs. Active Range of Motion

Passive stretching (having a partner push your leg, or using gravity to fall into a split) increases the length of the muscle without teaching the nervous system how to control it. When you swing a golf club at 100mph, your brain will not allow your body to enter a range of motion it cannot control. Golfoga focuses exclusively on Active Range of Motion. We build strength at the end-ranges.

Our Core Tenets

  1. Data Over Dogma: We use primary source biomechanical data (TPI, Journal of Sports Sciences) to dictate our programming.
  2. Time Efficiency: You shouldn't spend more time warming up than playing. Our routines are brutal, effective, and brief (15-20 mins).
  3. Asymmetry is Expected: Golf is an asymmetrical sport. Your trail hip has different demands than your lead hip. Our programming reflects this reality.

Common Mistakes We Fix

  • Trying to fix a swing fault (like early extension) with swing thoughts, rather than addressing the physical limitation (poor ankle mobility) causing it.
  • Stretching only the hamstrings to fix back pain, while ignoring the thoracic spine.
